1. Clear your calendar
Make sure you cancel ALL of your plans. The last thing you’re going to want is to feel obligated to get up and leave during
your Binge-watching marathon. Also, put your phone on vibrate. The less distractions, the better. Cut yourself off from the world
entirely. This is just about you and your favorite shows.
2. Stock up

Snacks are a necessity. You can’t successfully binge watch any show without snack-age. You can go with the traditional chips and dip,
but I like to keep a variety of snacks close by just in case my mood changes half way through the day. I normally get regular Lays,
Cheese dip, the biggest bag of Reese’s Kroger sells, Twizzlers, Popcorn, cheese cubes, Dove Milk chocolates, and water.
3. Find your “spot”

Finding your spot is probably one of the most important steps in preparing for a binge-watching marathon. If you choose to sit upright
in a chair, your booty will give out after a few hours forcing you to get up and lose precious T.V. time. But if you lay in bed,
you just might get too comfy and doze off. No one wants to wake up 5 episodes later in a pile of empty wrappers. No, your spot can’t
be too uncomfy but it also can’t be too comfy. It has to be JUST right. My favorite spot is the loveseat. I’ve got it positioned
so that I can sit down when I start my marathon, but (because it’s a recliner) I can also lay back and relax when I start to feel
that too-much-junk-food coma coming on.
4. Make your choice
Netflix. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web. 19 Oct. 2016
This may be one of the most difficult parts of the process, but ultimately one of the most rewarding. Netflix makes your life a
little easier by categorizing their shows. Here are a list of categories to choose from. https://dvd.netflix.com/AllGenresList
There are totally a million shows that I love to watch but it would take me too
long to list them all. Here are a few: New girl, Teen Wolf, Pretty Little Liars, Lost, Parks and Recreation, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Grey’s Anatomy,
Sherlock, Arrow, Grimm, The Walking Dead, and The office.
To give you an unbiased opinion, I did ask a few other people what they love to binge-watch and here are their answers:
Rules of Engagement
How I met your mother
Making a Murderer
Orange is the new black
So, if you ever have a problem choosing a show to watch, check out any of these shows recommended by other humans like yourself.
Do yourself a favor. Order your meals and have them delivered to you. Do not (I repeat) DO NOT try to take a break to cook dinner. It’s not
worth it. I mean, why waste valuable T.V. time slaving over a hot stove when you can order a hot meal with the push of a button and have it
delivered directly to your door! Now, I’m quite a bit of a picky eater so I don’t do things like Chinese and stuff, but I do eat the very
traditional pepperoni pizza!!! Order a Large so that you’ll have more to snack on at about midnight when your regular junk food just won’t cut it.
6. Don’t give up
Perservere. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web. 19 Oct. 2016
No matter how difficult it may get (and it will get difficult), YOU MUST NOT GIVE UP ON YOURSELF. Binge-watching is definitely a sport where only
the strong will perservere. If you need to get up and stretch every once in a while, do it. I encourage it. But don’t lose sight of the
end goal. Remember, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!! If you don’t watch those shows, who will?
If you know of any other great shows to check out, please leave your suggestions in the comments. I’d love to check them out!
